Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the "Svicha Online" web application ("Service"), operated by [OPERATOR NAME] ("Operator", "we").
The Service is provided electronically in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Electronic Commerce" No. 675-VIII of 03.09.2015. By starting to use the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- Seeker — a user who seeks spiritual support or orders a candle;
- Priest (Father) — an ordained, vetted minister who provides spiritual guidance;
- Administrator — a person who verifies priests and reviews reports;
- Donation — a voluntary contribution to support the parish.
2. Description of the Service
The Service offers spiritual guidance and pastoral comfort, the ability to order a candle lighting with a live stream, and to hold a conversation with a priest.
The Service is not the Sacrament of Confession and is not, and does not replace, medical, psychotherapeutic or legal assistance.
3. Eligibility
The Service may be used by persons aged 18 or older (or 16 with parental/guardian consent). Anonymous use is permitted.
4. The Service is not an emergency service
The Service is not intended for emergencies. If there is a threat to life or health, immediately call emergency services: 103 (ambulance), 102 (police) or 112. In a crisis you may also contact a psychological support line [NUMBER].
5. Donations and payment
Candle-lighting contributions are voluntary donations to support the parish and are handled by a payment provider. The Operator does not store payment details.
As the service is intangible and performed immediately, refunds are handled in accordance with Ukrainian consumer-protection and electronic-commerce law. For refund matters, contact [EMAIL].
6. User obligations
- provide accurate information when you voluntarily supply it;
- treat priests and other users with respect;
- not use the Service for unlawful acts, spam, threats, harassment or political provocation;
- not attempt to disrupt the operation or security of the Service.
7. Priests
Spiritual guidance is provided only by ordained priests verified by an Administrator. The priest is responsible for compliance with canonical norms and Ukrainian law.
8. User content and moderation
Names for commemoration and messages you provide are passed to the relevant priest. We reserve the right to moderate content, remove materials and suspend accounts that violate these Terms. You can file a report from a priest’s booking page.
9. Privacy
Processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy. The content of spiritual-guidance conversations is not stored.
10. Intellectual property
All rights to the Service, its design, code and materials belong to the Operator or rights holders and are protected by law.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and do not guarantee any spiritual outcomes.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Ukrainian law, the Operator is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may amend these Terms. The current version is always available in the Service with its update date.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. Disputes are resolved through negotiation and, failing agreement, by the courts of Ukraine under applicable jurisdiction rules.
15. Electronic agreement
Acceptance of these Terms by using the Service constitutes an electronic transaction under Art. 11 of the Law of Ukraine "On Electronic Commerce".
